Main Office
The main office of the Great Lakes Center is the home of the Center’s director and secretary, and is located in a two room suite in the Science Building on the campus of Buffalo State College. Enter Room 261 of the Science Building. Contact at phone 716-878-4329. Our research assistants occupy two additional on-campus suites: a four room suite in the Science Building and a five room suite in the Classroom Building.
Watershed Research Laboratory
Although most of the research at the GLC in watershed dynamics is field-based, a laboratory in the Science Building on the campus is available for sample preparation and holding, equipment maintenance and storage, and some analytical procedures.
Aquatic Ecology Lab
The Aquatic Ecology Lab is located in the Science Building and is used for benthic samples proceeding. It hosts a large collection of native and invasive freshwater molluscs, with over 50 species of unionid bivalves from Texas and Wisconsin.
