HEALTH AND WELLNESS DEPARTMENT

Departmental activities are designed to promote unity and strength through team building, quality management, group participation, networking, and peer mentoring strategies. With a talented and dedicated staff, individualized advisement, an abundance of professional development opportunities, and endless support for advancement within the dynamic field of health related professions, the Health and Wellness Department provides a strong sense of direction and family for many students.

Coursework is designed to give students 120 to 400 hours of applied academic experience. Students participate in conferences, sponsor local wellness activities, serve in a support role for health-delivery organizations, and participate in individual research and scholarship with faculty mentors.

Students also may participate in the Health and Wellness Student Association, which educates students through lectures, guest speakers, attending conferences, and field trips on ways to achieve a healthier lifestyle.
