Meet the Faculty
The faculty and staff of the Department of History and Social Studies Education at Buffalo State College are committed to the highest ideals and standards of the teaching profession. The eighteen full time and ten part time faculty members carry on the rich tradition and the philosophy that was established within the department by its first chairman, Dr. Harold Peterson. Since its inception, the collective vision of the department has been one of superior teaching and scholarly service that is oriented first and foremost toward our students. Our goal is to take in all qualified students, regardless of background, and to provide for them an opportunity for a rigorous educational experience which will open their eyes, stimulate their minds, and prepare them for life in the 21st century.
