ALL COLLEGE HONORS PROGRAM

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Buffalo State is the college of choice for students who want a college experience with accessible and caring professors, numerous opportunities for research and internships, and a choice of more than 120 undergraduate programs and 40 graduate programs. Buffalo State, with 11,000 undergraduate and graduate students, is SUNY's largest arts and sciences college. Its 120-acre campus is the only SUNY college located within a major city. The college's residence halls, classrooms, laboratories, library, studios, theaters, galleries, and numerous computer stations are located on a single centralized tree-lined campus.

Buffalo has many well-kept secrets: Victorian homes, more than eight regional theaters, trend-setting musicians, historical landmarks, an Olmsted park system, restaurants featuring ethnic food from five continents, NFL and NHL teams, skiing and snowboarding, more than 20 art galleries (not counting on-campus galleries), Lake Erie cruises, a world-class symphony orchestra, and festivals, street fairs, and special events. The "Elmwood Strip," within walking distance of campus, is lined with coffee shops, boutiques, restaurants, and other trendy spots. One of the most visited natural wonders of the world—Niagara Falls—is a half hour away. Canada's largest city, Toronto, is less than two hours away.
