Kathleen O'Brien specializes in services management, event planning, private club management and green initiatives for the hospitality industry. She serves as director of Campus House, the department's teaching and research laboratory. Kathleen is a coordinator for the college’s Restaurant Institute and facilitator for student internships with Erie County and EPA pollution prevention program. She also advises the Club Managers Association of America student organization and serves as the TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) coordinator. O'Brien earned hospitality educator certification through the Educational Institute of the American Hotel and Lodging Association in 2002.
