Hospitality Administration

Students are required to take 19 credit hours, distributed in the following manner, to fulfill the requirements of a minor in hospitality and tourism:

Required Courses (10 credits)
HTR 110 Introduction to Hospitality and Tourism (3 credits)
HTR 300 Food and Beverage Management (4 credits)
HTR 368 Hotel Operations (3 credits)

Elective Courses (9 credits)
(any three of the following by advisement)

HTR 100D Multicultural Foods (3 credits)
HTR 200 Sanitation and Safety in Food Service (3 credits)
HTR 340W Industry Experience (3 credits)
HTR 361W Principles of Management in Food Service (3 credits)
HTR 380 Training for Hospitality (3 credits)
HTR 390 Strategic Marketing in Hospitality (3 credits)
HTR 408 Convention and Meeting Management (3 credits)
HTR 418 Tourism Management (3 credits)
HTR 430 Management and Marketing of Services (3 credits)
HTR 470 Legal Issues in Hospitality (3 credits)
