Achievements

Arlette Klaric, lecturer, and Terry Postero, associate professor, Design, conducted a presentation based on their paper “Chasing the Wave: The Design of Contemporary Life” at the 15th International Conference on Systems Research, Informatics, and Cybernetics in Baden-Baden, Germany, July 28–August 2. The paper, published in the conference proceedings, explores the contemporary prevalence of the waveform motif, its appearance across media, its origins, and its cultural significance. In addition, Postero, who directs the interior design concentration, received an International Institute for Advanced Studies in Systems Research and Cybernetics (IIAS) Meritorious Award for her 17 years of work and service to the scientific community.
