Martin Ederer, lecturer, History and Social Studies Education, published two books: Buffalo's Catholic Churches: Ethnic Communities and the Architectural Legacy (digital@batesjackson llc, 2003), which also includes Ederer's photographs, and A Colorful Bouquet of Saints (E. T. Nedder, 2004), produced in collaboration with Rev. Georges Y. El-Khalli, director of Catechesis, Eparchy of St. Maron of Brooklyn. The latter book explores the history and traditions of the Maronite Catholics in Lebanon, highlighting their saints as portrayed in the iconography of St. John Maron Church in Williamsville. In addition, Ederer published a 17-part series on the history of Buffalo's Polish Catholic parishes in the Am-Pol Eagle, a newspaper serving the Buffalo area's Polish community, from September to January.
