Four assemblages by Gerald Mead, curator of education and outreach, Burchfield-Penney Art Center, were selected for The Luminous Image VI, an exhibition of American, British, and Australian artists at the Collaborative Concepts Gallery in Beacon, on view November 22–January 30. The works include Argus Cascade, 2002. Mead also received a special opportunity stipend grant from the New York Foundation for the Arts. In addition, he was elected to the board of Buffalo United Artists, a professional theater company, and he moderated the panel discussion "Collaboration in the Arts" for Leadership Buffalo on November 13.
