The Buffalo State College Collegiate Chapter of the American Marketing Association is one of 10 collegiate marketing chapters nationwide to receive funding from the American Marketing Association (AMA) Foundation in support of local community service projects.
Funded by the Sheth Foundation and the AMA Foundation, grants of up to $1,000 support efforts by AMA collegiate chapters to strengthen the marketing program of one or more nonprofit organizations.
The Buffalo State chapter will receive $750 to develop and implement an advertising program to recruit volunteer staff and generate financial contributions for Friends of Night People, as well as to raise awareness of hunger and poverty issues in Western New York.
This year's grants will help chapters—all affiliates of the AMA, the world's largest professional society of marketers—provide marketing assistance to national and local nonprofit organizations, including the United Way, the March of Dimes, Habitat for Humanity, and the American Red Cross.
