Buffalo State alumni have an online community to call their own at www.alumni.buffalostate.edu, thanks to funding from the Buffalo State Alumni Association.
“Many alumni have told us they want a lifetime Buffalo State e-mail address and an online directory to connect with each other and the college,” said Kelly Mazella, alumni affairs staff assistant, who manages the community.
The online community can help alumni move forward with their careers, in partnership with the college’s Career Development Center. Community members can network, search and apply for jobs, build résumés, post information about their businesses, create personal profiles, share photos and accomplishments, learn about events, and participate in forums and surveys. They can also connect with each other through Buffalo State’s Facebook, Flickr, LinkedIn, and Twitter sites.
“More than anything, we want to help alumni engage with each other and the college,” said Mazella.
