ASID is an organization that:
- Identifies interior designers by the results and benefits they bring to the built environment through their specialized design skills and sound business practices
- Is vital to the success of the interior design community through shared knowledge and collective action
- Gives interior designers the strategic tools to impact behavior and performance beyond client expectations
- Is the catalyst for understanding and managing changing work and home environments.
Student chapter membership in ASID offers students the opportunity to belong to the largest association representing interior designers, industry partners, and students. Through their membership, students can participate in a wide variety of learning experiences and programs which compliment their academic training and support advocacy for the profession from the student level. The skills learned through the organization easily transcend to the professional realm "Where Design Comes to Life."
