INTERNATIONAL STUDENT AFFAIRS OFFICE

OFFICE INFORMATION

Welcome

Buffalo State gives international students the better of two worlds: a big-city American campus setting, yet classes that are small enough to offer individualized attention to students.
We have an international student population of more than 300, representing 55 countries, and more than 2,000 international alumni all over the world. The beautiful 115 acre college campus is located in one of the finest neighborhoods in Buffalo, New York, the state’s second largest city. For students who want to see the northeastern United States and Canada during their stay here, Buffalo is 18 miles (32 kilometers) from Niagara Falls, 90 miles (160 kilometers) from Toronto; and 425 miles (750 kilometers) from New York City.
More than 11,000 students, including approximately 1,500 who reside on campus, make Buffalo State a busy and stimulating place to learn, play and meet interesting people from next door, across the country, or around the world.

International Student/Scholar Information

A relaxed, worldly atmosphere and a blending of global cultures are made possible through the presence of international students/scholars at Buffalo State, creating an environment that offers a unique opportunity for exchange and cultural interaction among all students attending Buffalo State.
The college’s attractive menu of career-oriented degree programs, both undergraduate and graduate, along with its unusual “Gateway” location between the United States and Canada, and the surrounding points of interest and culture make Buffalo State a popular choice for international students/scholars seeking to advance their higher education.
