General Policies

All books, media, and special collections documents do not circulate and cannot be requested through ILLiad (Interlibrary loan).

Access to the Archives and Special Collections areas are by appointment. Appointments may be made by telephone or e-mail.

Photocopies

Photocopies may be made at the discretion of the archivist or staff assistant; some of our documents may be too fragile to copy. Photocopying is done by the Archives staff. There is a fee for this service. A complete citation for these materials will be provided with the copied materials along with a permission to publish form. Photocopies of special collection materials are provided to the patron; the patron cannot reproduce these materials for others without the permission of the Archives staff.

Photographs and Scanned Images

Copies and scanning of photographs will be made by the Archives staff. There is a fee for this service. A complete citation for these materials will be provided with the copied materials, along with a permission to publish form. Guidelines for Researching in the Archives Room

We require the patron to take notes in PENCIL only. Pencils are provided.

Notebooks and book bags are to be placed at a designated table. Only tablet paper is allowed at the work station.

No food or drink is allowed in the Archives room.

Patrons may be asked to wear cotton gloves when using some of the library's collections.
