Elm Leaves History      (back to top)
Elm Leaves began in 1948 as a literary magazine. After time, the name was changed to Portrait Magazine. In 2003, Portrait published its last issue and the magazine had not been in print from that time until 2005 when the magazine was resurrected with support from Professor Fisher. The name was changed back to the original title Elm Leaves and the content was broadened by making it a magazine of the arts rather than merely a composite of literary works.

We, the editorial board, are excited to present the second issue of the resurrected Elm Leaves, a magazine of the arts! We extend our thanks to all who contributed to this magazine, a special thanks to Dr. Craig Werner and Lynn Weldon of the English department. We would also like to thank Tim Ngo and the other Copy Center employees for the printing of the magazine. Finally, we would like to encourage students to get involved in publishing next year’s edition.
