Librarians are available at the Reference Desk at the Information Commons in the lower lobby during reference hours to assist you with your research. Here are other ways to get research help 24/7:

 Chat Live 24/7

Click on the logo at left to chat live with a reference librarian anytime of the day or night. “Ask Us 24/7” is an online reference service that connects users to professional librarians via a Web-based chat interface. The service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

IM a Librarian (Beta)

In addition to the Chat Live 24/7 service listed above, you can now send an instant message (IM) to one of our reference librarians by adding one of the IM addresses listed below to your buddy (or friends) list. You can use your own installed IM client or login via the Web versions. Since we are still testing this service, we cannot guarantee help at any specific hours, but please feel free to send a question if you see us online. Questions will be taken on a first come first serve basis, so you may have to wait if the "AskEHBL" librarian is helping another person. Ask your instructor to arrange Library Instruction for the entire class. We welcome faculty to contact us to schedule instruction for their classes in research techniques related to specific course work. Most classes are held in CyberQuad, our electronic classroom.
