    Chemistry Research at Argonne National Laboratory
    Argonne is one of the U.S. Department of Energy's largest research centers and the nation's first national laboratory, chartered in 1946. Choose "Research Areas" for interesting information on their current programs.

    Chemistry WebBook
    This site from the National Institute of Standards and Technology provides general search options by formula, name, CAS registry number, author, and structure. In addition, physical property based searches are offered.

    CSB Web Site
    Web site of the United States Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board, an independent federal agency whose mission is to prevent industrial chemical accidents.

    Household Products Database
    This database from the National Library of Medicine provides health and safety information on thousands of household products and their chemical ingredients from sources including Material Safety Data Sheets prepared by manufacturers.

    U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
    Information on ways the EPA tries to safeguard our air, water, and land. Includes information on pesticides, pollutants, environmental laws, health protection, air, and radiation, and a link to the Chemical Emergency Preparedness and Prevention Office.
