Poems:

The loner and his burden of incredulity

Now when a dream is seen
It is confined to silence

When a vision resurfaces
It is hushed

The world must think the being dead
Interred never to be resurrected

The price of incredulity
Is a life of shadows

Solaar reunion

Bones and faith
Drape a once glamorous soul
A meek soul
A cheerful soul
A visionary full of uncanny capabilities
And dreams
A soul who would burst out
With song every morn
Every eventide
A soul who like the elephant
Would never forget
Birthdays drawn apart by many seasons

Bones and faith
Cloak a soul
Whose light never seemed to dim
A soul whose light stirred the insouciant
A soul whose sudden dimming refulgence
Leaves the heart aching for time to stand still

Bitter experience

She is a 'nobody'
The names on the certificates
Don't tally
She works under the tables
Feeds off the scraps
Owes hundreds of dollars
To every De-Shawn, Lavon, Terrell
Wishes she never dreamt the American dream
