K. Cornelius

Bio:
To explore the work of K. Cornelius is to let your mind and body float beyond the enclosure of this realm and fully submerge into the waters of extreme creativity and mind-altering expression. Originally from the WV/MD/DC area the artist now resides and creates in one of her favorite vibrant communities: Buffalo, NY. K. Cornelius is a multimedia artist who uses music, film/video, installation, performance, and other means to reach her aesthetic goals. Those goals are primarily to communicate with a diverse audience regardless of age, sex, ethnicity, religion, and other mortal creations that bind one to a particular boundary. The artist carefully explores the varied and vivid landscapes of creativity, spirituality, Shamanic Transformation, and inspiration. K. Cornelius is driven to create by a passion within, a desire to better the world from the inside out, and to open pathways to ears, eyes, minds, bodies, and souls. K. has studies with many teachers and would like to give thanks to many for inspiration as well as their love of teaching to; Ustad Zakir Hussain, Monir Hossain, Ty Burhoe, Ubaka Hill, Evelyn Glennie, Layne Redmond, Anna Halprin, Sharon Mansur, Darcy Dyll,, among many others!
