Poems:
Awake
Whirling in the Night
After Ten
Wind Wildly Whispers
using its invisible force
through darkness
teasing with a vengeance
cold tingles
coercively shaking those in reach
Each gust shifts direction
stalls to let others pass
until me
Light breeze
Across my face
Gentle whoosh
Streaming through my hair
Dirt taints my pants
Loose twigs
Streak my cheek
Cold stones
fling to me
Whispers ushering the deed
Our attraction at night Flaunting to nature
It’s controlling this body I let
Go
until tonight
Not one whisper, two emerge
Is it only the trees rattling?
Is it the ravaging wind?
Could it be a stranger rustling
Through their night’s work?
No.
Distinguishing itself
More deadly
Concealed in the woods.
Silent until now.
From within it resurrects
Calling to this dead body
This whisper I hear
No wind muffles
No dense forest shades
Only my soul
Claims my body.
