Alumni


Alumni of Buffalo State are eligible to join the Friends of E. H. Butler Library at a special alumni rate in order to receive library borrowing privileges. They may request a guest computer pass at the Information Commons, with presentation of their Buffalo State alumni card and a photo ID, for in-library use of computers and access to research databases, Internet searching, and other Web resources. A new guest computer pass is issued each visit.


Students, Faculty, and Staff

…from other SUNY institutions must bring their current SUNY ID card to borrow library materials under the SUNY Open Access program. SUNY students, faculty, and staff may request a guest computer pass at the Information Commons for in-library use of computers and access to research databases, Internet searching, and other Web resources. A new guest computer pass is issued each visit.

…from non-SUNY local colleges and universities participating in the Library Access Project (LAP) must bring a current LAP card from their home institution to borrow library materials. LAP participants may request a guest computer pass at the Information Commons for in-library use of computers and access to research databases, Internet searching, and other Web resources. A new guest computer pass is issued each visit.

…from other colleges and universities do not have borrowing privileges. However, with the presentation of a current college photo ID from the home institution, a guest computer pass will be issued at the Information Commons for in-library use of computers and access to research databases, Internet searching, and other Web resources. A new guest computer pass is issued each visit.

Scholars Affiliated with a Buffalo State Department

Scholars from other institutions who are working with a department at Buffalo State must present a letter on letterhead from the Buffalo State department chair with whom they are affiliated. These visiting scholars will have borrowing privileges and access to computers.
