Liaison Program
About the Program | Meet Your Liaison

E. H. Butler Library is pleased to announce the implementation of a liaison program designed to foster communication about library resources and provide a link between the library and academic departments.

Each department has a librarian designated as its departmental liaison. Liaisons will share customized, current information about library programs, resources, and services and will address faculty information needs in person, by e-mail, or by phone.

Your liaison can help by:
  • Updating you about library resources and services
  • Consulting with you about the effective use of library databases
  • Collaborating with you to integrate library research skills into your courses
  • Providing information services to support scholarship and research
  • Referring questions about collections, resources, and library instruction to the appropriate library personnel
Beyond books (over 530,000) and online resources (access to over 20,000 full-text online journals), Butler Library is about people! We look forward to this new opportunity to promote partnerships with teaching faculty. Please contact Mark McBride if you have any questions about the library liaison initiative.
