It is the center’s general policy to collect small watercraft (up to 35 feet), yachts, pleasure boats, and work boats that were either designed, built, or used in the area or having some other significant connection to the region. The center is particularly interested in boats produced by the once numerous companies in the area such as Richardson, Cayuga, Dispro, and others.
At present the center has over 40 boats in its collection in various states of restoration.
