The Professional Applied and Computational Mathematics (PACM) is an innovative Professional Science Master's (PSM) degree offered exclusively by Buffalo State's Mathematics Department. The program trains graduate students for careers in the many emerging fields that demand a background in applied and computational mathematics, as well as effective business and communication skills.

Course Outline
The 30-credit-hour program includes:
- 9 credit hours of courses in analytical mathematical modeling
- 9 credit hours in statistical data analysis
- 9 credit hours in business communication, project management, and operations management
- A 3-credit-hour master’s project including an internship involving data collection, analysis, and synthesis into an analytical mathematical model.
Funding Opportunities
National Science Foundation (NSF) funds are available on a competitive basis for full-time students (tuition and a stipend).
