Job Placement
Upon degree completion, Buffalo State College music majors have successfully entered a wide variety of careers and pursuits.
Some of our music alumni have chosen to pursue master's degrees at many of the nation's finest graduate schools. Others have found success in private instruction, performance, composition, musicology, music theory, music technology, arts management, and other creative endeavors.
Most of the graduates from our prestigious Music Education program decide to enter the music education profession and hold positions in public and private schools teaching general, instrumental, and choral music. Over the years, our music education graduates have been honored with teaching awards, fellowships, and a multitude of leadership opportunities.
