Changing Your Default Password
Your default password for e-mail and logging on to campus computers is your birth date in the MONDDYYYY format, with the first three letters of your birth month in CAPS. For example, if you were born on January 1st, 1970, your default password would be JAN011970. This password is only temporary and must be changed!
There are two ways to change your password:
Change Default Password From On Campus
From on campus, you can change your password by logging on to your campus computer. You will receive a message that you are required to change your password at first login.
Change Default Password From Off Campus
From off-campus, you can go here to change your password: https://chngpwd.buffalostate.edu
