Computer Hardware and Software Purchases
If you need to order computers or printers for your office, you can find specs and pricing for equipment on the CTS Web site http://www.buffalostate.edu/cts/x811.xml. When you are prepared to order equipment e-mail CTSPurchasing@buffalostate.edu with your request. You can also make requests for computer related equipment such as external hard drives, extra memory or other peripherals. All purchases must be approved by your Chair or Associate Dean. When you contact CTSPurchasing, the requisition will be sent to your Dean’s office for signature.
Technology Fee Funding Requests
The campus uses the student technology fee to purchase equipment and software in support of students and teaching. Guidelines are in place to inform the request and allocation process. UB Micro
All Buffalo State employees can purchase software for home use from UB Micro, located on the Amherst Campus. Popular software titles such as Adobe, Microsoft Office and SPSS are available for a substantial savings - ranging from 40% – 90% off.
