Your Buffalo State Username and Password
As a new faculty member, you will be assigned a Buffalo State username and default password. Faculty usernames typically consist of the first six letters of the individual’s last name, followed by the first and middle initials. For example, if your name is Johnny F. Appleseed your username would be APPLESJF.
The Computing Help Desk will contact you with this information, and will walk you through accessing your accounts. If you haven’t been contacted by the CHD yet, you can check on the status of your account by calling 878-4357 (or e-mail chd@buffalostate.edu).
Note: Before you can access e-mail, and other campus systems, you must change your default password.

As a new faculty member, you will be given a number of user accounts to access various campus systems.
These accounts include:
Faculty E-mail
Campus Logon (NT)
Degree Navigator
Banner
For most of these accounts, with the exception of Banner, you will use your Buffalo State username and password.
