Buffalo State Researcher Is Part of Lunar Reconnaissance Project

Kevin Williams

The United States is en route to the moon again—and this time, Buffalo State is represented on the science team by Kevin Williams, assistant professor of earth sciences and science education and a planetary geologist.

The successful launch on June 18 of the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO), means that a team of scientists will soon be analyzing new data about the moon. Kevin Williams, assistant professor of earth sciences and science education and a planetary geologist, is on the team. Williams fully expects that, by 2020, the moon will again be visited by astronauts.
