What is the New York State Speech-Language Pathology Consortium?

 The New York State Speech-Language Pathology Consortium consists of a cohort of 18 colleges and universities dedicated to addressing the personnel shortages in speech-language pathology in New York State.

The cohorts located in Upstate New York include:

  • Buffalo State College
  • Elmira College
  • Ithaca College
  • Nazareth College
  • SUNY at Buffalo
  • SUNY Cortland
  • SUNY Fredonia
  • SUNY Geneseo
  • SUNY New Paltz
  • SUNY Plattsburgh
  • Syracuse University
  • The College of Saint Rose

  Downstate cohorts involved in the Consortium are:

  • Teachers College, Columbia University 
  • Hofstra University
  • Long Island University – Brooklyn
  • Long Island University – C.W. Post
  • New York Medical College
  • St. John's University

The consortium is funded through a grant from VESID.
