Employment Referral Programs Policy Statement

The CDC administers employment referral programs (Resume Referral Service, Job Postings, On Campus Recruitment, Job Fairs etc.) to assist students as they pursue their professional goals. Services to employers are offered to the extent they support our primary mission which is to assist students.

Programs operate with the understanding that student interests and values vary. To address these diverse interests all employers are invited to participate in the program. To assist students with their career decisions, information on many of the employers wishing to hire students is made available in the CDC.

Employers will be monitored for ethical and legal on- and off-campus interviewing practices. Inclusion of employers in the employment referral program does not reflect endorsement of these employers or their services or products by the CDC or by Buffalo State.

Legally constituted or chartered organizations with full-time, part-time, internship and summer professional job openings may request services. Such employers must affirm in writing compliance with applicable state and federal affirmative action regulations.

Employers must identify the title, description, and job-related qualifications of available positions. The employing organization must identify the person (by name) responsible for coordinating the screening process. All interviewers must be employed by the organization for whom the candidates would work.
