FOCUSWHAT IS FOCUS? Focus is an interactive on-line career guidance system. It provides information to help you learn more about yourself and identify occupations and majors that may be a good fit for you.
Focus is divided into four sections:
HOW LONG WILL FOCUS TAKE?
Focus is entirely self-paced. The Focus system will save all the data you put into it each time you login, and you can progress through the system at whatever rate works best for you.
WHEN CAN YOU USE FOCUS? Focus is completed online and at any computer that has internet access and web browsing capabilities. The website is available 24 hours per day and 7 days per week. You can create an account and/or login to Focus here. HOW ELSE CAN THE CAREER DEVELOPMENT CENTER HELP? After using Focus you should make a follow up appointment with a career counselor to review your results. You will learn that Focus is only one of many services the CDC offers to assist you in deciding on a career goal, occupational path or major. Although we often recommend you start by using Focus, computers are not for everyone. If you do not want to use Focus, you may want to meet with a career counselor to discuss your career plans.
