The Career Development Center serves a diverse population of students and alumni as they identify, pursue, and achieve their personal, career, and educational goals. We provide developmental student-focused services, resources, and access to exploratory experiences that meet changing individual and societal needs.




Getting Your References Scanned

The Career Development Center is now offering a new service. We will scan your references into electronic format and upload them directly into the Western New York Regional Information Center (WNYRIC) On-line Application System and/or the Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES Online Web Recruitment System.

The WNYRIC school districts inlcude Cheektowaga, Erie 1 BOCES, Erie 2 BOCES, Grand Island, Hornell, Ken-Ton, Lancaster, Lewiston-Porter, Maryvale, Niagara-Wheatfield, Orleans-Niagara BOCES, Pioneer, Starpoint, Tonawanda City Schools and West Seneca.

The Monroe 2-Orleans System school districts include Canandaigua City School District, East Irondequoit Central School District, Holley Central School District, Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES, Orchard Park Central School District, Penfield Central School District, Pittsford Central School District, Spencerport Central School District, Wheatland-Chili Central School District, Williamsville Central School District.

The lists of school districts is continuously growing and we expect that they will soon stop accepting paper copies of your references.

The initial cost of uploading your reference file to either one of these systems is $20.00 each. Until 8/1/07 the fee for initially uploading your references to both systems is $30.00. Uploading allows access to all participating school districts using these systems. After an initial upload of your reference file, any new references to be scanned and uploaded will have a $3.00 fee. (Please see a CDC staff member if any other school district or graduate school requires electronic references). The fee for mailing a reference file has not changed. It will remain at $3.00 for each set of references mailed.

A new Reference File Request Form is available for your use if you would like your reference file scanned into the system.
