The Volunteer and Service-Learning Center (VSLC) leads efforts to integrate service with learning in departments across campus while improving the success of local agencies and schools in meeting the needs of community residents. We help create long-term, meaningful partnerships with commuity agencies through service-learning, volunteering and other experiential opportunities for students.

During the 2011- 2012 academic year:

  • 1677 Buffalo State College students participated.
  • 86 service-learning courses were taught.
  • 38,493 hours of service were provided to the community.
  • Since 2004, more than 10,000 BSC students have participated in service-learning.
