ACADEMIC SUPPORT PROGRAMS

ACADEMIC ADVISEMENT CENTER

The Academic Advisement Center serves as the facilitator for required academic advisement for undeclared students and provides advisement assistance for all other Buffalo State students, both during the initial orientation program and throughout a student's academic career at Buffalo State.

Academic advisement, an integral part of the orientation program, is required for all Buffalo State students. The Academic Advisement Center facilitates the advisement process for undeclared students who have not yet selected a major prior to each semester's registration. Students are paired with interested faculty and staff members for academic advisement, are encouraged to explore potential majors, and are guided in the completion of college requirements. In addition, the Academic Advisement Center provides academic advisement training and support to all faculty and staff members on campus.

Academic Advisement Center extends an "open door" policy to all students.
