When using an artificial Christmas tree
1. be sure to water it daily.
2. be sure it is labeled as fire retardant.
3. Instead of lights use real candles.
4. let your pets climb up it.
Prevent break-ins by
1. locking all of your doors and windows.
2. not displaying your gifts in a window.
3. covering your front door window with decrative foil.
4. doing all of the above.
When using holiday lighting
1. turn off all lights before going to bed.
2. don't worry about filling empty sockets.
3. any type of light is ok to use outdoors.
4. hang the lights low on the tree. It's fun to watch the pets play with them.
When disposing of holiday wrapping paper
1. you can burn it in your fireplace.
2. recycle the paper after it is removed from the gifts.
3. dispose of the paper in your normal trash.
4. you can use it for starting bonfires.
When decorating your tree
1. use as many strands of lights that you want.
2. Use one strand of lights that is long enough to reach from the top of the tree to the outlet.
3. Make sure all of the sockets are filled.
4. both B and C are correct.
Smoke detectors should
1. be placed on each floor of your house.
2. have their batteries changed at least twice a year.
3. be combined with CO detectors to alert the family to this dangerous chemical.
