The NYS & CSEA Partnership for Education and Training has
announced a new pilot program for eligible CSEA-represented New
York State employees.
The Certification & Licensure Examination Fee Reimbursement
program is a pilot program that can provide reimbursement of
certification and licensure examination fees. The time period
covered by this pilot program is April 1, 2008 to March 31,
2009. During this time period, and employee can be reimbursed
for one certification or licensure examination fee up to a
maximum of $300. To be eligible, the examination must be
job-related or career-related; must lead to certification or
licensure for an occupation that currently exists in New York
State service; and must be administered by an accredited
organization.
To apply, interested employees must call the Partnership at
(800) 253-4331 or (518) 486-7814 and ask to speak to a
Partnership advisor about this program. Advisors are available
weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. After hours and on
weekends, employees may leave a message requesting a return call
at a time and day of their convenience.
