Election of Delegates to the Annual Meeting of the New York State Teachers’ Retirement System

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 505 of the Education Law, the NYS Teachers’ Retirement System is seeking nominations for one delegate and an alternate to represent Buffalo State’s NYS TRS members at the Annual Meeting to be held in November. Delegates are responsible for electing a teacher member to the Retirement Board. Delegates also act as liaisons between their employers and the NYS Teachers’ Retirement System. It is recommended that each delegate have an alternate who could serve in place of the delegate, if necessary. Delegates would serve a two-year term beginning August 1, 2009.

Buffalo State employees who are active members of the NYS Teachers’ Retirement System are eligible. Feel free to nominate yourself if you are an active member and interested in serving as a delegate. The nomination form must be returned to Cleveland Hall 410 by May 15, 2009.
