Justin Sledz
Assistant Director of Classroom Technology

Justin provides Buffalo State with expertise in system integration for classrooms, conference rooms, meeting spaces, and theatres on campus. He earned his Certified Technology Specialist certification with InfoComm in December 2009 and his Crestron Digital Media Design certification in March 2011. He helps in the planning, design, implementation, and service of educational spaces on campus that require audio reinforcement, video reinforcement, and video conferencing. Justin is here to help you or your department in picking out the latest technology for your teaching or meeting space, or can arrange for demonstrations of the latest presentation technologies to help you make a decision.
Justin earned his Bachelor of Science from Canisius College in Digital Media Arts, and later worked there for 3 years as a Media Technician in the Media Center. Justin also worked at Veraview, LLC in Buffalo, NY as a Sales Engineer for a System’s Integration & Video Conferencing company. Outside of Buffalo State College, Justin can be found behind the scenes working on production crews for many area events providing sound, lighting, and stage production.

Paul D. Bauer
A/V Repair Technician
Areas of Expertise:
Repair of audio-visual equipment.
Paul is responsible for the upkeep of the audio-visual equipment
on campus and assists with installation of smart classrooms.
Paul earned an A.A.S. in Electronics from Erie Community College.

Todd
Benzin
Classroom Support Supervisor
Areas of Expertise:
Classroom support for multi-media presentation
equipment; training; special events set-up; distance
learning and video conference technical support.
Todd’s responsibilities in Classroom
Support include daytime training and troubleshooting
in our Smart Classrooms, events set-up, distance learning
support and supervision of our student staff. He received
his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies
from Canisius College, and later worked there for five
years as Classroom Support Specialist in the Media Center.
Todd also worked at NYU for a year in the field of classroom
technology support. He has also spent time working in
front of and behind the cameras at WNED-TV and with
the Jumbotron staff at Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Stadium.
You may recognize Todd from his other career as a local
entertainer. He has appeared in plays and musicals at
several local professional theatres, is a member of
the local improv comedy group The Eclectic Company,
and plays guitar and sings with the Best of Buffalo
Award-winning band The Skiffle Minstrels.

Timothy P. Sager
Instructional Support Assistant

training; video and audio recording; digital media encoding.
Before Joining the IR staff here Tim served the Daemen College Community in a position at their Instructional Technology Services department. Prior to his work in academic support Tim worked as a video/film post-production specialist in New York City and Jakarta, Indonesia . His photographic work has been exhibited in New York. Tim received a B.A. degree from SUNY Buffalo's department of Media Study.

Christopher Weber
Equipment Loan Coordinator
Areas of Expertise:
A/V equipment support and management; classroom support for multi-media presentation equipment; training; special events set-up.
Chris is responsible for the Equipment Loan Office of Instructional Resources. He is here to make sure you get the best equipment to enhance your class, meeting, or event. Chris is also involved with classroom support, troubleshooting, and assisting faculty across campus.
He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Study from the University at Buffalo. While at UB, his work as a student assistant included supporting over 120 technology-equipped classrooms. He was also involved with audio production for sporting events, conferences, and guest lectures. Chris continued his A/V support experience working for a local events production company before returning to UB for three years as a video production specialist. His work has been aired on several local and regional networks.
