These steps will convert an existing quiz into the new format of assessment. The original quiz will remain and a new file will be created with the same name in the assessment format.

1. Locate the quiz that is to be converted on the Lessons tab.
   
   
2. Under the title of the quiz click Utilities.
   
   
3. In the list click on Convert Quiz to Assessment.
   
4. You will be asked to copy the quiz to an assessment, click OK

The assessment will appear in the same course on the Lesson tab. If you would like to hide the quiz once the assessment has been checked, follow the directions below.

1. Click on settings under the title of the quiz.
   
   
2. Click the Access Tab.
   
   
3. Place a check mark that says "Do not allow users to view this item".
   
   
4. Click Save
