Beth Burns
Instructional Designer
Areas of Expertise:
Beth Burns has worked in the field of education since 2004 as a middle school reading teacher, literacy specialist, English faculty member, and finally as an instructional designer for Buffalo State. In this capacity, Beth consults with faculty members who are interested in online learning, assists in the development of online and hybrid offerings, and provides faculty development in the realm of online learning and Open Educational Resources. In addition to her role as instructional designer, she continues to teach traditional, hybrid, and online English courses for several institutions.
Beth recently moved from Tampa, FL where she was a full-time English faculty member at Hillsborough Community College. Beth is originally from Cleveland, OH and received her MAT in English from Agnes Scott College and her B.A. in English (writing) from Otterbein University.
