The cooperation and involvement of all members of the campus community in a campus safety and security program is essential. Alcoholic Beverages And Controlled Substances
New York State Penal Law Articles 220 and 221 prohibits the possession, use, and sale of illegal drugs.
Use of alcohol must be consistent with New York State Alcohol Beverage and Control Law and Buffalo State College policies.
Students who unlawfully use, possess, manufacture, or distribute controlled substances or alcohol will be subject to criminal prosecution and the college's due process disciplinary procedures as published annually in the Student Handbook and the student newspaper, the Record.
The College Counseling Center (716-878-4436) is available to help students with drug- or alcohol-related problems. Qualified counselors will assist in problem identification, assessment, resolution, and, when necessary, referral to a qualified rehabilitative program.
