Services

What services are provided by SSSP?

Services include an assigned mentor who provides academic advising while identifying your various needs. This mentor acts as your primary support and will recommend a personal direction for you by means of an Individual Action Plan.

Other services include:

• Individual and small group tutoring for most subjects
• Workshops and tutorials for study skills, how to write a term paper, time management, stress management, and more
• Counseling on personal issues
• Computer skills training

The Student Support Services Program also has various extracurricular activities to promote a sense of community among its members. We sponsor socials, orientation seminars, and a weekend away for supplemental study, tutorial, and personal and emotional renewal.

SSSP also utilizes the services provided by similar student resource programs that exist on the Buffalo State College Campus.

These programs include:

• C-STEP (Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program)

• EOP (Educational Opportunity Program)
• Academic Skills Center
• Disability Services
• University College

Students who have been enrolled in following TRIO Precollegiate Programs in High School are eligible for SSSP:

• Talent Search
• Upward Bound
• Math Science Upward Bound
