The Family Activity Card is a classroom or take-home activity. Students can use census data to learn more about their neighborhood or create their own migration map. The Family Activity Card also reminds you that Wednesday, November 16th, is "Wear a Geography Tee Shirt Day." |
|
Tee Shirt Day (courtesy of John Agnello) Wednesday, November 16th is geography tee shirt day (if you miss this day do feel free to set your own day). Please encourage (or allow) your students to wear something that relates to geography. Any shirt with words or pictures showing something will do. Have the student express the geographic significance of the words or picture. Ask them what geography theme they are wearing. You may ask them to write a report related to their shirt. Below is a link to a tee shirt rubric related to either the five themes of geography or family migration geography. |
