Geofest 2007 is scheduled for October 20th (Saturday) at Benton Hall Academy (Elementary School) in scenic and historic Little Falls from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Over twenty workshops are planned. While the focus will be on the Erie Canal, a number of general workshops will be presented. There will be something for everyone! Presentations will also
be given on the Geography Action Theme for 2007-2008, to be announced

| LIttle Falls
is located at a critical point on the Erie Canal, where the Mohawk Valley
is very narrow. Lock 17 and Moss Island (both shown above) are must stops
for anyone visiting Little Falls. |
Located next to
the river is Canal Place, located in old mills powered by the falls. Today
they are filled with shops and antique stores. Good restaurants are nearby.
