A small stream flowing into Eighteenmile
creek ran past the Lockport Sewage Treatment Plant and our sampling
site on Eighteenmile Creek. A student group inadvertenly sampled the
inflowing stream and found high nitrate and dissolved solid values.
The tests were repeated by other students. The levels of these
parameters indicate 'poor' water quality for the inflowing
stream.
