A research study explored problem solving experiences and the effect on children's concept of themselves as learners. A particularly important emphasis is placed on incremental learning and viewing errors as a natural part of task and process. Acomputer program was studied to assess its value towards influencing children in autonomy and intrinsic motivation in learning.
