Three experiments involving 110, 40 and 47 college undergraduates respectively were performed to test the relationship between typicality assessments and reasoning fallacies. Study verified the prediction of Tversky and Kahneman that 'the judged probability that an instance belongs to a category is an increasing function of the typicality of the instance in the category'. The two reasoning fallacies identified were the conjunctive and inclusion fallacies.
