A study of visual depictions of creative process created by 136 students, laborers and professionals. Participants took the Kirton Adaptation-Innovation Inventory (KAI) to identify their personal creative style. Participants were asked to design graphic examples presenting steps in their creative process. Six formats emerged ranging from linear, orderly and targeted through a continuum to complex, random and spontaneous depictions of creative process.
