The author's intent was to demonstrate whether or not a person could generate useful ideas for a problem or challenge by looking at pieces of art. Additionally, the author wanted to know whether or not this visual excursion made the experience more satisfying to the participant. The author found that almost all of the participants were able to generate useful ideas to their challenge and that most had a more satisfying art experience.
